I Love Acid returns to the basement of the Pawnbrokers on North Road, welcoming two DJs who represent different ends of the acid house spectrum. PAURRO hailing from Mexico City, is one of the most in-demand DJs in the world right now. Her "House of Paurro" show holds residencies in New York, Mexico City, Bogota, and Berlin. Her Boiler Room show at Primavera Madrid is a masterclass fusing everything from UKG and bassline through to oldskool rave and of course, acid. JON DASILVA is a living legend of house music. Resident at the Hacienda from 1988-1991, his "Hot" night was one of the first regular acid house clubnights in the UK that fused the new sounds coming out of Chicago and Detroit with the Balearic vibes of Ibiza's original summer of love, as well as dub, reggae and disco. Dasilva was the influential master of the turntables pioneering new techniques and styles in DJing that were adopted by the likes of Sasha, he toured with The Happy Mondays, was one of the first UK DJs to go international, playing as far off as China in the early 1990s. They are joined by I Love Acid residents Posthuman, fresh off the back of a US & Asia tour, and opening for Leftfield at the Barrowlands for their trio of shows in June.
