LOOSE JOINTS 8TH BIRTHDAY - TOULOUSE LOW TRAX

7 YEARS OF LOOSE JOINTS!

Forever grateful to everyone who has played our little party; to all the promoters who put faith in us and let us play their spots, to the Berkeley Suite for being our home since day one, and to everyone who's come and danced with us. But let's dispense with the clubland sentimentalities and get back to business...

TOLOUSE LOW TRAX

A firm favourite of ours, and for anyone seeking immersive, weirdo, experimental club leanings, Detlef Weinrich, aka Tolouse Low Trax, makes a long-awaited return to Glasgow. Fresh off the back of a new album on Hamburg's Bureau B, Detlef has been putting out top-quality productions as TLT since 2010, with labels such as Antinote, Themes For Great Cities and Karaoke Kalk all releasing his works. Quality over quantity rings true - a steady output of releases over the years have displayed a knack for other-worldly soundscapes, referencing the sounds of krautrock, new wave, techno, dub, electro and more to create a truly unique sound - something widely proclaimed in electronic music. In Detlef's case, it rings true. Detlef is also co-founder of legendary Salon des Amateurs - a cultural powerhouse with a cutting-edge approach to electronic music. A resident there too alongside the likes of Lena Willikens, Vladimir Ivkovic, and Wolf Müller Safe to say, our 7th birthday is in safe hands!

MOTHER

If you don't know, and so forth. Mark Maxwell a.k.a Mother, has been DJing for over 20 years. It seems impossible not to mention his early days as an assistant to the mighty John Peel. Returning to Glasgow not long after Peel's death, he has certified his status as a core fixture of the city. Mother has been integral to the Scottish scene in countless ways - from his work at Glasgow's go-to-hub for electronic music, Rubadub; to his role in bringing the sounds of dubstep to Scotland through his residency at fabled party Fortified Sessions; to his continued presence at some of the most forward-thinking parties around, and championing the sounds of local artists and producers across the world. As a DJ this wealth of experience shines through - truly versatile and always exciting, and impossible to pigeonhole. We've been trying to secure him for a few parties but now the stars have aligned - don't miss.

DJ PEANUT

DJ Peanut makes her long awaited Loose Joints debut. Check Clydebuilt shows for the evidence - a multifaceted DJ on the rise, now well-versed in Glasgow clubland and the local festival circuit including Riverside. An esteemed friend and DJ - we are very happy to have her with us at The Berkeley Suite
