Shoot Your Shot - BASHKKA & Marie Malarie

TWO SCOTTISH DEBUTS incoming and whit a joy tae bring 'em for a braw Glasgow welcome... Her name may derive from the Turkish word for ‘different’, but its energy translates into every aspect of BASHKKA’s self-expression. From slaying the dancefloor with sensually acerbic sets to her ardent advocation of the cultural, political and de-colonial advancement of electronic music, BASHKKA is breathing fresh air into the scene with everything she sets her mind to. Marie Malarie (they/them) is an East London based DJ, producer, promoter, crate digger and vinyl connoisseur. This gargantuan and infinitesimal noise doctor from Bruce Grove via Olsztyn specialises in the propagation of the actualisation or fabrication of beefy bebop beats and squalky screechy sounds (with a beat). With imagination, formulation and the occasionation of their spindly little fingers, Marie Malarie will stop at nothing to bring you harmonious, euphonious and melodious pandemonium. Where did he come from? Where did she go? Marie Malarie wants to make you dance like a hoe.
