Inspired by the decadent Richard Long & Associates sound systems of New York's & Chicago’s disco, post disco & house era’s - Paradise Garage, Studio 54, Muzic Box etc, and the freeform styles of the original eclectic dj's - David Mancuso, Larry Levan, Ron Hardy, Daniele Baldelli etc - Supermax is where fashionistas, muzic freaks & wild thangs get down to the audiosexual soundtrack of Glaswegian discotheque grand master DJ Billy Woods - organiser of Supermax alongside partner in crime, fashion stylist, Lisa Ringrose who’s input & management over all aspects of the party has been key to its success.

High quality audio reproduction is fundamental to any great party and this is absolutely the case with Supermax. Drawing inspiration from the incredible RLA sound systems of New York’s disco & post disco era, the Supermax sound system, acoustic treatment & sound management - is courtesy of legendary sound system designer and long-term collaborator Rory Watson of We Enjoy Sound. Expect to hear and get down to a thunderous selection from past, present & future - from the uber-obscure 2 the all too familiar yet somehow totally unexpected - including beautifully mastered original disco 12 inch records the way they were intended to be heard and an ample helping of curveballs & Billy’s exclusive edits thrown in for good measure all on Billy’s personally specified & installed DJ set up which includes Technics new super high-end GR turntables, Nagaoka HIFI stylus & his special ‘one of a kind’ custom built 19 inch rack mount DJ mixer from the finest mixer designer on the planet – Justin Greenslade @ Isonoe.
